Knowledge Transfer Officer per el Institut de Ciències del Mar

The Institute of Marine Science (Institut de Ciències del Mar, ICM-CSIC) is the fourth largest research institute of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the largest dedicated to marine research. Under the motto “Ocean Science for a Healthy Planet,” the ICM conducts frontier research and foster both knowledge and technology transfer on topics related to ocean and climate interactions, conservation and sustainable use of marine life and ecosystems, and impact mitigation of natural and anthropogenic hazards. In-depth knowledge, determined action, and coordinated management are essential to confronting these global challenges, thereby driving sustainable development of humankind.

Requirements:

• Academic background in experimental sciences (Bachelor preferred)
• More than 3 years of experience in similar roles
• Fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan
• Problem-solving attiude, proactive, team player, analytical capabilities, good communication skills, etc.

Tasks:

• Deployment, implementation, and monitoring of the institutional knowledge transfer strategy, ICM Transfer.
• Secretariat of the ICM Transfer Committee.
• Support in the business development of the ICM, in coordination with the Vice-presidency of transfer of the CSIC in the tasks of: valorization of knowledge, analysis of the commercialization potential of the scientific-technical capabilities, protection of intellectual property, and design of appropriate strategies for its exploitation.
• Advice and support to the research staff in business development related of the knowledge generated by ICM.
• Support for writing and managing contracts, NDAs and other types of agreements related to the transfer of knowledge
• Responsible for the processing of knowledge transfer accreditations (TECNIO).
• Institutional representation and participation in technology platforms, conferences and sectorial events of technological innovation and/or blue economy.
• Promotion of the transfer culture at the ICM (organization of training, working sessions and internal workshops, dissemination of specific calls for transfer and innovation, etc.).
• Facilitation of fundraising actions at the ICM.
