Master Student - Electronic engineering per el Barcelona Supercomputing Center

The BSC is developing several ASICs based on the RISC-V processor. One of the main components of these chips is the access to external main memory at sufficiently high data rate. We are looking for a research engineer who will study the implementation of critical full-custom blocks in an internal LPDDR4 PHY interface in 22nm technology, evaluating its area and other specifications.

Key Duties

• Study the structure and components of an LPDDR4 PHY interface.
• Estimate the area and complexity of full-custom parts in the LPDDR4 PHY.
• Propose an implementation of selected custom high-speed blocks inside the LPDDR4 PHY.
