AI Based Detection Models with Sensitive Gas Sensors to Detect Food Spoilage in Refrigerators

One of the biggest Turkish home appliances manufacturing companies is looking for solution partners to develop a detection system for determining the food spoilage process in refrigerators by using sensitive sensors to organic volatile gasses (Ethylene, methyl mercaptan, ammonia, sulfuric compounds, and trimethylamine etc.) and creating smart algorithms. This system is also expected to communicate with the already existent air purification module of the refrigerators to minimize bad odors within the appliance. As an additional necessity, the information about the spoilage is also wished to be communicated with the appliance user via a phone application. 

Eligibility criteria:

The challenge invites submissions from both commercial-ready solutions and early-stage innovations that focus on developing odor sensor algorithms, sensor technology, data analysis, and database creation, capable of conducting the necessary tests for sensor training and processing this data for practical use.

They are open to different collaboration models depending on the profile of the solution providers, including but not limited to; Proof-of-concept / Pilot testing, Co-development via EU funded projects (Eureka, ERA.NET, Horizon Europe), Client-provider collaboration (commercial agreement) etc.
