Computer Architecture Undergraduate Student (R0) per el Barcelona Supercomputing Center

Applications are invited for an undergraduate student in High Performance Computing (HPC) architectures at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). BSC intends to pave the way to the future low-power European processor for Exascale in the context of multiple architecture initiatives (EPI, Lenovo, Intel, etc.).

Key Duties

  • Benchmark RISC-V-based HPC processors with relevant applications from the HPC domain as well as emerging applications such as precision medicine.
  • Analyze the performance of RISC-V based HPC processors, with special emphasis on the memory subsystem and the cache hierarchy
  • Identify and solve performance bottlenecks using RTL simulations and FPGA emulation

Traineeship at the EU Council

Twice a year the General Secretariat of the Council offers 5-month paid traineeship periods in Brussels: 16 February to 15 July (first period) 1 September to 31 January (second period) Regular paid traineeships Eligibility Applicants must be EU citizens; Have a university degree; Proficiency in English or French (C1 level) and very good knowledge of two EU official languages; Completing the first cycle of higher education is necessary. No previous training (paid or unpaid) or employment for more than six weeks at an EU institution, body, agency or office. Benefits A monthly grant of €1,376.88 net.
