The program will give participants the opportunity to improve their career path while building their vocabulary and improving their language skills to achieve their professional goals. You will be able to choose one course between three different options:
1. English for Professional Development, (400 seats)
2. English for Business and Entrepreneurship, (300 seats)
3. English for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (300 seats)
The overall goal is to offer an online language skills program focused on professional development to achieve large social impact. By the end of the chosen course, students will develop their English language skills and understanding of career development in the global economy, adapted to their area of interest.
All courses contain numerous lectures, readings, discussion prompts, and understanding checks that learners are able to complete independently. In addition, the guided portions include synchronous face-time with instructors and peers, and some team-oriented tasks. Students will receive written and video feedback from world-renowned instructors on their assignments.
Upon completion, students who earn an average grade of 70% or higher will receive a University of Pennsylvania Certificate that states number of program hours.
