Royal Academy of Engineering Industrial Fellowships 2021/2022

The Royal Academy of Engineering Industrial Fellowships scheme enables mid-career academics and industrialists to undertake a collaborative research project in either an industrial or academic environment, where one party would host the other.

• The scheme aims to strengthen the strategic relationship between industry and academia by providing an opportunity to establish or enhance collaborative research between the two parties. 
• The scheme is open to engineers from all disciplines
• An industry to academia fellowship option is now available
• Awards can be held from six months to two years, full-time or part-time
• The Academy will contribute up to a maximum of £50,000 (per-annum) towards the basic salary costs (excluding overheads) of the applicant, paid pro-rata against the amount of time to be spent at the host organisation. The total award is capped at £100,000 for awards that exceed one year in duration

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) Summer Internship Programme

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) launches the 9th Summer Internship Programme to provide undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct summer research at the CRG. The goal of the programme is to encourage students, from any nationality, in the pursuit of a scientific career and to introduce them to an international laboratory experience.  

A maximum of 8 internship positions will be awarded in 2021.

Eligibility criteria

• Undergraduates with an excellent academic record and a strong interest in biosciences and biomedical research (prior lab experience is highly recommended) who are in their final two years of studies in the Life Sciences or related subjects (e.g. Bioinformatics, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Chemistry).
• Master students are not eligible.
• Two full years (4 semesters) of college course work completed by the time the internship commences.
• Candidates may not have received an undergraduate degree at the time of the internship (Summer 2021).
• Candidates may not have previously obtained a “CRG Summer Internship”.
• High level of English.
• You have the availability to do a student placement/internship agreement through your University.

Positions will be awarded on a competitive basis taking into consideration the student’s academic records and the motivation & reference letter(s). Each student will be matched with a specific laboratory based on the student’s interest and background.

Beques "Chinese Government Scholarship" a la Beihang University

La Beihang University ofereix la possibilitat de prioritzar fins a tres estudiants de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya 2020-2021 que vulguin cursar un màster universitari o un doctorat a temps complet en aquella institució el 2021-2022 per obtenir una beca del programa del govern xinès per a estudiants estrangers que cursin estudis de postgrau a Xina.

Les beques tenen un import de

• 3.000 CNY mensuals per a estudiants de màster
• 3.500 CNY mensuals per a estudiants de doctorat

I comprenen:

• La matrícula del màster o del doctorat
