- Research on sex and gender biases in health and Artificial Intelligence.
- Study the spread of disinformation in the media and on social networks, tracking its propagation and regarding the evolution of narratives. This involves applying network analysis techniques, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and language models (LLMs).
- Conducting a comprehensive evaluation of AI applications in the health sector, considering technical, human, and social dimensions.
- Leading the Bioinfo4Women cross-cutting program within the life sciences department. The primary goal is to foster the career advancement of female researchers, enabling them to reach leadership positions.
In this context the successful candidate will help with the current projects and design suitable solutions for generating, processing and analyzing data.
Key Duties
- Development of projects aimed at validating Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in the healthcare sector. This involves considering various aspects such as technical, ethical, legal, socioeconomic, cultural, and social factors.
- Lead research initiatives and developments focused on identifying and combating disinformation. This includes using AI techniques and language models (LLMs) to analyze the diffusion of false information and the evolution of narratives.
- Participate in the Bioinfo4Women (B4W) program of the Life Department. This involves participation in the activities related to support women in the development of their scientific carrier, international programme networking, and the B4W research projects aimed at identifying and mitigating sex and gender biases in the health sector.
- Supervise a team of technicians and students, providing a conducive work environment that encourages growth and collaboration.
