Student Mobility 2024 - Catalonia Quantum Academy

The Catalonia Quantum Academy is offering up to 10 Student Mobility Fellowships to encourage mobility of Master’s students enrolled in eligible academic programs within the CQA Institutions, to undertake an internship and/or Master’s thesis outside the university in which they are enrolled.  

Fellowships will be offered for a period of 2 to 6 months. The research stay may extend beyond the end of the fellowship. 

Students must be enrolled in one of the Master’s programs listed below for the duration of the stay, and the internship or Master’s thesis must be formalized through an agreement between the host institution and the university in which the student is enrolled as per the home university’s regulations.

Eligible programs: 

• Master’s in Quantum Science and Technology (UB, UAB UPC) 

• Master’s in Photonics (UPC, UB, UAB) 

• Master’s in Engineering Physics  (UPC) 

• Master’s in Cybersecurity (UPC) 

• Master’s in Advanced Telecommunication Technologies (UPC)  

• Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering (UPC) 

• Master’s degree in Semiconductor Engineering and Microelectronic Design (UPC) 

The fellowships will include:  

• A stipend will be provided for duration of the internship or master’s thesis project, up to a maximum of 6 months, at a rate of 300€ / month for mobility between institutions within Catalonia, and 600€ / month for students hosted at institutions outside Catalonia 

• Travel costs may be reimbursed up to a maximum of €500 for travel to and from Barcelona and the host institution if it is located outside Catalonia.
