This Edition's Topic

According to the UN, 68% of the world population is projected to live in urban areas by 2050. With ever-growing cities, new challenges arise, but population growth also opens the door for many fascinating solutions.

In the last edition, WDL focused on the 11th UN Sustainable Goal: Sustainable Cities and Communities. This year, we keep that core but enlarge our scope to embrace other challenges that highly condition our way to safer and happier communities. Our teams will have the opportunity to open new doors in subjects like climate, inequalities, and the environmental ecosystem.

Traineeship at the EU Council

Twice a year the General Secretariat of the Council offers 5-month paid traineeship periods in Brussels: 16 February to 15 July (first period) 1 September to 31 January (second period) Regular paid traineeships Eligibility Applicants must be EU citizens; Have a university degree; Proficiency in English or French (C1 level) and very good knowledge of two EU official languages; Completing the first cycle of higher education is necessary. No previous training (paid or unpaid) or employment for more than six weeks at an EU institution, body, agency or office. Benefits A monthly grant of €1,376.88 net.
