The candidate must supervise the biomedical research lines in the CASE department, with special care on HPC-based computational mechanics. He/she must advice senior researchers, postdocs, programmers and students on their daily research, not only for the pure application but also for the implementation of the proper numerical method. He/she must write project's proposals, coordinate successful bids, look for new collaborations. He/she must coordinate the general development of the code Alya with special care on solid mechanics, electrophysiology, fluid structure interactions, multi-physics coupling, 1D networks or contact problems. He/she must supervise PhD and master students.
Key Duties
- Conduct physical and numerical modeling for research and development purposes.
- Implement numerical methods in Alya software
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all modeling and implementation activities.
- Perform verification and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of models and software implementations.
- Supervise and mentor bachelor, master, and PhD students in related research projects.
- Collaborate with medical professionals and experimental researchers to integrate findings and improve research outcomes.
