The Computer Applications in Science and Engineering (CASE) department is looking for a researcher for the BSC Fusion group (fusion.bsc.es). The successful candidate will become an active member of the group. The group is a multidisciplinary team that includes mathematicians, physicists and computer scientists. The research project will involve code development for the refinement of our magnetic equilibrium module using finite element methods (CutFEM) and HPC techniques in the HPC multiphysics framework Alya.Key Duties
- Computer-based modeling using state-of-art simulations tools and AI techniques.
- Development and validation of simulations tools.
- Implementation of finite element methods for plasma physics.
