RAM Engineer per Copenhagen

RAM engineer to a growing Rail Safety department in Copenhagen.

Detailed Technical Knowledge within RAM Engineering

You will be responsible for the delivery of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) activities to
enable the successful and safe implementation of the railway across all asset types and phases of the
lifecycle, including design and development of project scope through to commissioning and handover into
service. Planning and executing the RAM process and RAM analyses on small and large railway projects,
such as the Signalling Programme and the Copenhagen Metro. You will also be responsible for dialogue and
review of the contractor’s contribution to RAM processes and analyses. They also expect you to take part in the continued development of the department’s services within RAM.

As experienced RAM engineer they expect that you will take responsibility as technical project manager of
RAM in the projects you participate in. Our client expects more demand on advanced RAM models that
support the key performance indicators for railways, so you will be a key player in the development. You
will also have the opportunity to work with younger colleagues and will take part in the training and
coaching of the department’s younger employees.

You and your competences

You are expected to have knowledge within RAM planning/management, Reliability and availability analysis
(design, implementation), Maintainability analysis (design for maintenance) and RAM performance
analysis/review. More specifically competences within FMECA, failure tree, fault analysis, reliability block
diagrams, Markov modelling, statistics, defining RAM parameters, acceptance criteria and FRACAS are
preferred. Furthermore, knowledge of basic standards are also preferred, e.g. EN 50126, EN 60300, EN
61025, EN 61078 and EN 60812.

You will be working on projects across different technical areas and with colleagues with different
background, so you should be good at communicating with different types of people and be able to explain
your sometimes complex area to others. You should have an education as engineer and have at least 5
years’ experience working with RAM, preferably within railways, but RAM experience from other sectors is also relevant. You must be proficient in English as our client is an international company with stakeholders
and colleagues with many nationalities.

Part of Rail Safety team 

The Rail Safety department was established about 1½ year ago and has ever since had great success and
growth and therefore our client is looking for yet another experienced RAM engineer to strengthen our
department. Since it is a fairly new department you will have the opportunity to influence the position
depending on your own experience and competences. You will naturally be part of the exciting
development and challenges the department is facing going forward.

The department consists of 10 highly engaged employees with a background and experience within RAM,
rail safety, interoperability and assessment. You will be part of a team of both younger and more
experienced colleagues all with a very strong technical background. The department works in close
cooperation with customers, joint venture partners, other departments and authorities to execute
challenging and interesting assignments with rail RAM and safety.

El CIM UPC, Centro Tecnológico de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, y Fundación Adecco, convocan 5 becas para la realización de 5 posgrados con un importe de 3050€ cada una.


Disponer de Certificado de discapacidad: Tener en vigor el certificado oficial otorgado por el organismo competente, según la comunidad autónoma en la que se encuentre el/la  beneficiario/a, que reconozca la discapacidad con un grado igual o superior al 33%.Titulación universitaria superior o técnica con menos de dos años desde la obtención del título. En caso de no tener titulación universitaria la titulación correspondiente a un CFGM O CFGS en los sectores de fabricación mecánica, diseño o electricidad o electrónica.Si el/la aspirante a dicha beca no tiene una formación reglada justificará los conocimientos necesarios para la obtención de la beca mediante al menos un mínimo de dos años de experiencia en un puesto de trabajo similar a la beca a la que opta.
