Job Description: Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are made of the supramolecular self-assembly of multifunctional organic molecules and metal ions, being one of the most promising porous crystalline materials today. We seek a candidate to be employed as a PhD student for the study and development of porous MOFs. During three years, the selected candidate will design, synthesize and characterize new porous, crystalline MOFs, control their miniaturization at the nanoscale and study them as advanced adsorbents for several applications, including nanomedicine, gas adsorption, etc. The candidate will acquire a great experience in supramolecular chemistry and nanotechnology (nanochemistry), as well as in the use of a wide range of characterization techniques. The candidate will develop her/his thesis in excellent scientific infrastructures, highly international atmosphere and will count with the expertise of NANOUP team.
Benefits: The gross salary will be agreed based on the ICN policy and the candidate experience.
Requirements: The candidate must hold a degree in Chemistry, Nanotechnology or Materials Science with a minimum GPA of 8 over 10. Having a Master in Chemistry, Materials Science or Nanotechnology will be highly regarded. English language is required.
